Texas District 15

Texas is one of the most exciting states for laser sailing, ranging from lakes to Galveston Bay which offers a broad range of skills to master.

What is ILCA District 15

ILCA is the International Laser Class Association. District 15 is the 15th district in North America.  The Laser is a one design boat comprising of three classes. Although the hull remains the same, the different sail sizes separate the fleet for competition.  For Youth sailors the sail size is designated by 4 these colorful 4 sails have a distinctive Orange Clue and Tips.  Medium sails ILCA 6 have Tips and clue in Blue.  Larger Adult rigs ILCA 7 have plain white sails.

The yearly TEXAS season comprises of a regatta circuit of five regatta’s for District 15

JUNE –  Summer Solstice – Seabrook Sailing Club, Seabrook

Training for competition is always fun.  Pushing the limits in close quarters training can also be exciting.

Fun Exciting Sailing

Texas offers year round sailing, with laser sailing offered at most Yacht Clubs.  Excellent lake sailing to outstanding Bay sailing. Club teams to private training, district 15 has it all.
